�鶹��Ӿ�attains Green Impact Excellence Award

Green Impact is the University of Cambridge's internal environmental awards programme, supporting and encouraging departments and Colleges across the University to reduce their environmental impact. Excellence Projects are year-long undertakings, and any team that achieved a Silver award in the previous year is eligible to participate.

The judges were particularly impressed with the scale and creativity shown throughout Wolfson's project, showcasing many exciting developments that embed sustainability into the life of the College.

Project achievements included providing 26 weeks of sustainable advice in the 'What's On' newsletter, improving communication on sustainability with new students, introducing pledge cards in student kitchens, creating A-Z Green Impact videos for social media, and enhancing the existing recycling scheme.

Oscar Holgate, Wolfson's Head Gardener and Green Impact Lead, said: "It was quoted that 'Institutional commitment requires engagement on all levels.' That is true to this year's �鶹��Ӿ�Green Impact. Our students, staff, and Fellows came together with passion and purpose to make �鶹��Ӿ�greener and more sustainable than ever before. Their dedication is why we are proud recipients of the Excellence Award."

"I am deeply grateful to lead a team that is not only hardworking and motivated, but also truly passionate about creating an environmentally conscious place to live, study, and work. To everyone who played a part — thank you. Because of you, �鶹��Ӿ�has reached new heights."

Wolfson's President, Professor Dame Ijeoma Uchegbu, congratulated the team, saying:

"We are incredibly proud that our Green Impact team has won the University of Cambridge’s Green Impact Excellence Award 2024-25. Their project, 'Making sustainable living visible to Wolfson's diverse student community', showcased the amazing work that Oscar Holgate and his team carried out all year for the benefit of our community. What a brilliant achievement for our college."
